FasTags® Medical Rescue Tag is a white oval with a red edge and a red cross inside. Use this tag to identify your dog as a rescue dog, or use it to identify a medical problem your dog or cat my have. If you're a veterinarian, this is a great tag to use on your clients' pets.

The Sharpie® and the FasTags® Permanent Marking Pen are the only recommended markers for use with the FasTags® ID Tags.

The Tag That Shrinks!®

FasTags® ID tags are a make-at-home ID tag. Made of hi-tech heat sensitive plastic, the tag can be created start to finish in less than 5 minutes. Each FasTags® ID starts off large enough to comfortably write your information on the tag. You'll want to use a permanent marker (a Sharpie® or the FasTags® marker ) since the tag is made of plastic. Once you have your information written out (in large print), you pop it in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes. Your FasTags® will look rather demented during the baking process. It will curl and warp, then miraculously it will flatten out, signaling that it is ready to come out of the oven. Once cooled and covered with the enclosed laminate you can attach it to your pet's collar.

INSTRUCTIONS: (Provided by FasTags®)

1. Preheat your oven to 325 °F (180 °C) for at least 10 minutes.

2. Practice writing your information on the lines provided in your package. Once you have the writing the way you like it. Place your tag over the picture and trace your writing onto the tag with a permanent marker. Use large letters. They shrink better.

3. After your oven is fully preheated, place the cardboard on a cookie sheet, then place the white paper sheet on top of the cardboard. Carefully place your FasTags® ID face-up on top of the white paper and cardboard on the cookie sheet.

4. Bake for 5-6 minutes. The tag is finished when it is the size shown on the back of the packaging.

5. Remove from oven. Let cool completely.

6. Then place the clear sticker over the printed area.

7. Attach the S-hook or O-ring and you are done.

CAUTION:

• Children should only do this under direct adult supervision!

• The tag, paper, cardboard, and oven get extremely hot and can burn you.

• Make sure the oven is fully preheated, before placing the cardboard and paper inside, to prevent the risk of fire.

QUICK TIPS:

• Only permanent marking pens work on FasTags®. We only recommend our FasTags® marking pen or the Sharpie® Ultra Fine Permanent Marking Pen.

• After removing your FasTags® ID tag from the oven, you may want to flatten the tag down with a spatula to ensure that it lays completely flat. If paper sticks to the FasTags® ID, simply rinse in warm water after it cools and peel away the paper.
